Grade 7 Robot Challenge
Grade 7 celebrated the end of the school year with a week of hard fun. CDNIS students, in teams of 2-4, custom-built robots from the ground up. Drawing from assorted parts, existing mechanical know-how, and collaborative creativity, they innovated dozens of robots, with no two alike in design or appearance.
The culminating ceremony of this week-long project was the Robot Parade and the awards for Scariest Robot, Most Innovative, Fastest, Most Effective, and the Most Efficient Dismantling (and repacking) of their robot.
Students created as wide a variety of movies to record the creation process and publicize their finished robot.
